Questions, answered

The questions people ask before they choose a blueprint. Read the ones that matter to you. If yours is not here, write to us and we will answer it.

What is a Dècorine blueprint?

A Dècorine blueprint is a complete room by room plan for styling your home with IKEA furniture. Each one gives you the exact pieces to buy, how to lay them out, and how to style them so the finished room looks designed. It is the plan a designer would hand you, built entirely around furniture you can actually afford.

2

Is it really all IKEA furniture?

Yes. Every piece in a blueprint is a real, current IKEA product, chosen and arranged to look far more expensive than it is. Pieces like KIVIK, BILLY, PAX and MALM, styled so the room reads elevated rather than flat pack. The look is designer. The receipt is IKEA.

3

Can you really get a designer look on a low budget?

Yes, and that gap is the whole reason Dècorine exists. A designer look comes from cohesion, proportion and styling, not from expensive furniture. When the pieces are chosen to work together and styled properly, an IKEA room reads as calm, warm and considered. The money is in the decisions, not the price tags.

4

How much does a blueprint cost?

A full home blueprint, every room in one style, is $24.99. A single room guide is $9.99. The interior shopping checklist is $5.99. One plan costs less than a single cushion you end up buying twice because the first one was wrong.

5

How is this different from just using Pinterest?

Pinterest gives you ideas. A blueprint gives you the plan. A pretty pin shows you a finished room but never tells you what to buy, in what size, or how to put it together without it looking off. Dècorine turns the feeling of that pin into an actual list and layout you can follow. Inspiration is easy. Execution is where people get stuck.

6

How is this different from IKEA's own planner?

IKEA's tools help you buy IKEA. Dècorine helps you make it look designed. The planner shows you products and measurements. A blueprint makes the taste decisions, which pieces, which finishes, what to place beside what, so the room looks pulled together instead of like a showroom. We do the styling IKEA leaves to you.

7

Will this work if I rent?

Yes. Every blueprint is made with renters in mind. Nothing requires drilling, painting or permission, and every piece is freestanding IKEA furniture you take with you when you leave. Your rental can look designed and stay completely reversible.

8

Will it work in my apartment if the layout is different?

Yes. A blueprint is built around the pieces and the styling, not one fixed floor plan. You use the same IKEA products and the same styling logic, then place them to fit your walls, your windows and your space. Small apartment or awkward layout, the look still holds.

9

Do I need any design experience?

None. The blueprint is the design. You follow it the way you would follow a recipe. The pieces are chosen, the layout is decided, the styling is spelled out. All you do is buy and arrange. The deciding is already done for you.

10

How do I know which style is mine?

Take the Style Test. It is a short, visual test that reads what you are drawn to and matches you to the style that fits, whether that is Rustic Luxury, Soft Elegance or Sharp Modern. If you already know your style, go straight to that blueprint. If you do not, the test decides for you in a few minutes.

11

What if I already own some furniture?

You keep what you love. A blueprint works as the frame for a room, and your existing pieces can sit inside it. Most people build the room around one or two things they already have and use the blueprint for everything else. You do not have to start from nothing.

12

Can I buy just one room instead of the whole home?

Yes. You can start with a single room guide for $9.99, for your living room, bedroom, kitchen or bathroom. Many people begin with the room that bothers them most, then add the others once they see how it comes together. You do not have to do the whole home at once.

13

How do I get my blueprint after I buy?

Straight away. Every blueprint is a digital download you receive the moment you buy, so you can open it on your phone in the IKEA aisle or at home on the sofa. Nothing ships and nothing is delayed. It is yours to keep and reuse.

14

What if it does not work for me?

The blueprint removes the part that usually goes wrong, the guessing. Instead of buying pieces that clash and finding out too late, you buy from a plan designed to work together. The cost of one wrong sofa is more than every blueprint we sell. That is really what you are buying, the insurance against getting it wrong.

15

Is it really possible to love where I live?

Yes. That is the whole point. Your home is not meant to impress anyone, it is meant to feel like you the moment you walk in. A blueprint is simply the shortcut, one clear plan that turns a room you tolerate into a room you love, on a budget that was never the obstacle you thought it was. Start with one room. That is usually all it takes to see what your whole home could become.
